Saturday NIS Programmes

English Programme

We are excited to invite you to join us for our first term of the Saturday English programme starting September 28th, 2019. Your children will be learning and using the English language in a fun, engaging, and interactive environment. The sessions are aimed at expanding knowledge and vocabulary in various topics, encouraging speaking, and reinforcing reading and writing skills through stimulating children’s creativity and imagination. Our goal is to build each child’s confidence in using the language so they can enjoy communicating in English. Some of our activities include:

    Reading and listening to stories
    Speaking and Listening
    Singing songs
    Physical activity games in English
    Arts and crafts
    Vocabulary building

Enrolment is open to all. These lessons are suitable for students learning English as a second language. If your child has little to no English knowledge, this programme is not recommended. The first day of the programme will be an assessment for new students. After the initial session, the teacher will let you know if the programme is suitable for your child.

There will be four levels this year, including Kindergarten (ages 4-5), Grade 1/2, Grade 3/4 and Grade 5/6. The programme is ongoing throughout the year, divided into three termed terms (see below for the schedule). The session is three hours in length from 9am-12pm on Saturdays, with two 15-minute breaks in between.
